Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Arkhangelsk Philharmonic Hall for its excellent acoustics and the unique ambiance of its former church setting, especially for organ concerts. While some find the organ sound doesn't match grand European cathedrals, the overall experience is consistently described as 'stunning' and 'wonderful'.

"This is a church converted into a concert hall. I came to watch an organ performance. The service is excellent, with good facilities and a nice reception. I recommend this place to any music lovers out there."

Sam

"The former Lutheran Church of St. Catherine (kirche). One of the recognizable symbols of Arkhangelsk. Overall, everything is dignified and modest. We used to often attend organ concerts, but everything is relative. The sound of the organ and the literally stunning experience of listening to music in European cathedrals, churches, and basilicas are an order of magnitude (!) higher. Especially when you can just walk in, sit down, close your eyes, and listen to the organ. Incidentally, the organ in the Kaliningrad Cathedral also sounds superb!"

Dmitry Ignatov

"An excellent chamber hall with excellent acoustics and a superb selection of performers."
