"If you are in Arkhangelsk, the A.A. Borisov Museum of Artistic Development of the Arctic is a place you can’t miss.
Despite the fact that the exhibition is small and is located in several halls on two floors, even without a tour you can spend a couple of hours in the museum enjoying the magnificent paintings.
The museum has a staircase of desires, imitating the road to Solovki, ask the museum staff, they will be happy to show it and tell you a very interesting story.
I want to add to the review. It so happened that in 2024 I was again in Arkhangelsk and decided to visit this wonderful museum again. And for good reason. Once again I am convinced that this is an amazing space. You can look at the landscapes of the northern latitudes endlessly, like fire. They awaken layers of energy of incredible depth, so that, leaving the museum, you feel reborn, as if you yourself were a participant in the northern expeditions. And nature caressed you with its icy breath, revealing that very primeval source of life. Such a basis can still be found in Roerich, or in Kuindzhi, for example.
So go, you will definitely not regret it!"
