What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Chavash Varmane National Park for its beautiful, hospitable forest and well-equipped ecological trails along the Bezdna River, including a memorable suspension bridge. The park offers unique fairytale-like attractions and a deeply relaxing atmosphere. However, some note that thematic trails can be overgrown and summer visits require mosquito protection.
"☘ Yesterday we were greeted by the forest - strong, wise and infinitely hospitable - my company and I arrived at the Chavas Varmane National Park.
A friendly administrator met us at the entrance and suggested routes. We walked along a 7 km long ecological trail between the bends of the Bezdna River - a tributary of the Sura. The river winds and we walk along bridges and a comfortable boardwalk up and down. I especially remember the long suspension bridge - about 15 meters - as a small feat among the greenery.
In the forest we came across a slow worm - a legless lizard, at first we thought it was a snake. The mushrooms also did not disappoint: there were birch boletes, chanterelles, champignons, russula - true, not many, but especially beautiful and soulful.
On the trail we came across a fairytale corner: Baba Yaga's hut on chicken legs. And then a real surprise awaited us - a chest suspended high among the trees.
And in the clearing we met a secret: twelve wooden guards, a reflection of the months, stood in silence, preserving the memory of the circle of life.
🍃 And, perhaps, the most important thing is not discoveries. But relaxation: the sound of a stream, birds singing, steps along a soft path and a forest that allows you to just be yourself, breathe, feel and love this silence."

"Love this place with my family.
We love this place with my family. Tall pines, a small river, well-equipped tourist strips for education about the inhabitants of the forest. We have been on all types of excursions, but maybe they have come up with something new. The park workers are responsible. There is a small village near the tourist trails. But there are a lot of mosquitoes in the summer, there should be protection from them."

"Thematic forest paths are quite overgrown. It is all the more interesting to make your way through the forest"
