The affordable entry fee and pleasant courtyard cafe are frequently highlighted as significant advantages, making it a highly recommended stop for those exploring the Algarve interior.

"Beautifully curated and well displayed. The galleries take you through a journey in time. The photo montage gives you an insight into the society that created the town. The rear garden shows the commercial development of local industry as technology improved. There is an adjacent cafe with very reasonable prices."

Laurence Fryer

"This is a must go if you're nearby. The price is 3 euros and you get so much for the price. There are many areas to explore and read about such as history of costumes, an exposition abou Ukraine, professions, cork, palm leaf weaving, etc. At the end there is an open area where you can take a coffee or something else. It's great to relax. There are toilets in the same open area and you can also climb some stairs to get a higher view of the city. I was very impressed as I live nearby and didn't know about the museum."

Jorge Baptista

"Just loved learning about the harvesting of cork. The cork exhibit was larger than I expected. It was great to see the movie (suitable for all languages since there was no vocal element, just self-explanatory video footage). In the costume/history part I liked the display about women's fans and how the women could use them to send signals to men. I'd just add that there was a lot to see in the back courtyard, such as carriages and an unusual well."
