I wouldn’t recommend getting a guided tour, we followed one around the entire time and the guy was basically just spitting out funny facts in Spanish and English to entertain the kids. Not worth it. We opted to look around ourselves and it was much better. The people in the guided tour didn’t even have a chance to read the signs or look anything up.
The gardens were pretty, but very hot. There was also a party setting up around the same time we were there, so we were kicked out of the gardens but the party staff and didn’t get to explore them fully.
Not a bad experience overall. For kids they have a scavenger hunt, but it took a while and the prize was a Sintra eraser. If you have younger kids this is good.
