What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Praia do Evaristo is cherished for its stunning, unique rocky coastline and the magical natural pools that appear at high tide. While the beloved beachfront restaurant is temporarily replaced by a canteen, the fresh seafood and incredible views persist. Parking can be a challenge, and the beach's rocky nature means it's not ideal for everyone seeking a purely sandy experience.
"After the fire destroyed the old restaurant a new pop up canteen has been opened as a temporary measure. The owner said they are waiting for permission to rebuild and expect to be back to normal in 2027.
The beach has plenty of sunbeds, 25 euros a day for two. The food is ok but not like before because of the lack of a charcoal grill. Bar, toilets and showers all excellent.
Lovey sheltered beach, great for windy days when there’s a red flag, you can stand by the rocks and get showered by the waves crashing down on them."

"Quite cool little beach, it has rocks and a bit of sand for those that are not just about lying on the sand to catch sun. It also has a little beach bar that serves food and drinks, showers and paid sun loungers. Probably worth mentioning that it’s better with higher tides, with low tide the little rocky pools are empty. Beware parking is not huge! All in all worth a visit."

"Our favorite beach in the Algarve. Coastline is stunning and a great place to explore the rich formations. Always find interesting shells and rocks, even some urchins! Check the tide, always better when low IMO."
