What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Kórnik Arboretum for its stunning natural beauty, especially during the spring bloom of magnolias and rhododendrons. The vastness of the collection and the adjacent historic castle are significant draws. While the entrance fee is low, some find the park less impressive than comparable international gardens, and parking can be limited during peak times.
"Very cool attraction, a must see if you are visiting the area. The Moors hallway was definitely my favorite. Download the App!"

"The Arboretum of Kórnik is a wonderful opportunity for lovers of plants, trees, parks and lots of greenery to relax and enjoy. With 40 hectares and around 3,000 plant species, this is the largest and oldest arboretum in Poland and the fourth largest arboretum in Europe. The arboretum was founded by the same Działyński family that also had the adjacent Kórnik Castle built.
We came here in July, so in the middle of summer. Everything is beautifully green then, but you won't find the beautiful blooms of spring. It must be fantastic here when all the rhododendrons, azaleas, magnolias and many more plants and trees are in bloom in spring. But it can also be particularly beautiful here in autumn when the leaves of the trees and shrubs change colour.
You do have to pay an entrance fee here, but the costs are very low. And you have to consider that the maintenance of such a park also involves a lot of costs. We spent more than half a day in Kórnik to see the castle and the arboretum, to also walk through the small town and to escape the big city of Poznań for a few hours and do a more relaxed pace."

"Terrific at this time of the year. Gold, brown, red leaves... Astounding.
Not many parking spaces in front of the park (maybe 15), but there's a big, free parking lot just 5 minutes walk along the lake."
