Reviews Summary

Pristine Beach offers a convenient, budget-friendly local experience near Puerto Princesa City, but reviews highlight its limitations. Visitors often note the shallow waters, potential debris, and short shoreline, suggesting it doesn't live up to the 'pristine' name. While the water can be clear further out, it's generally not considered a top-tier beach destination in Palawan.

"I like to explore different beaches here at Palawan, and honestly this was one of the top worst beaches I had ever been on.
What you see on the other reviews are 100% real.

The beach is really short, can't really explore much of it, shallow waters, unpleasing odor, and a really unnecessary entrance fee costing 30 Pesos or around 50 US Cents.

Please don't go here, it's a huge waste of time on such a really bad beach."

Pol Michael

"I'm not one to usually leave reviews but I was staying nearby at a resort only a 10 minute walk away so thought I'd ignore the negative reviews and check it out myself. Sadly, the low ratings were pretty accurate, with a 30 PHP entrance fee for a short beach, with a few cabanas to sit under however , the water was very shallow, lots of rubbish everywhere and definitely needs some maintenance. To be fair, the water is pretty clear but not sure if I would recommend swimming in it as a tourist. I thought I'd leave this honest review for any future visitors and if you are looking for truly 10/10 beaches in Palawan - then El Nido would be my only recommendation (specifically Vanilla/Cabanas beach )"

"This beach was underwater when I went..trash everywhere. Could be maintained a little better in my opinion. I do understand there are many beaches. But that's not the point"

Understanding Pristine Beach's Reputation

Pristine Beach in Puerto Princesa has garnered mixed reviews, with many travelers expressing disappointment. Unlike the world-renowned beaches of El Nido or Coron, this spot is often described as having a short shoreline, shallow waters, and occasional issues with debris and odor. Reddit+1 The 30 PHP entrance fee is a point of contention for some, especially given the perceived lack of pristine conditions. Reddit

However, it's important to note that this beach is situated close to the city center and airport, making it a convenient option for a quick visit or for those who want to experience a local beach without traveling far. Reddit Some visitors have noted that the water becomes clearer and more appealing further out from the shore, suggesting that managing expectations and visiting during high tide might improve the experience. Reddit It serves as a contrast to the more famous Palawan destinations, offering a different perspective on the region's coastal areas. TikTok

Maximizing Your Visit: Tide and Timing

The most crucial factor for enjoying Pristine Beach is understanding the tide. Reviews consistently mention the water being extremely shallow near the shore, which can limit swimming and make the beach less appealing. Reddit Visiting during high tide is strongly recommended, as this will provide a more substantial water depth and a better overall experience. Reddit

Beyond the tides, consider the time of day. Visiting in the early morning can offer cooler temperatures and fewer people, allowing for a more relaxed visit. TikTok While it's a local beach, it's not typically overrun with tourists, but weekdays and off-peak hours will generally be quieter. TikTok The goal is to approach Pristine Beach with realistic expectations, viewing it as a convenient local spot rather than a top-tier tourist attraction. Reddit
