Reviews Summary

Visitors appreciate the National Library of the Philippines for its spacious, air-conditioned study areas, free Wi-Fi, and helpful staff, making it a great alternative to paid study spots. However, some find the book retrieval process cumbersome and wish for more open access to shelves and extended operating hours, particularly on weekends.

"The library is spacious and air-conditioned. Currently, one study area is open to the public. Staff will get your needed books for you. Wi-fi is also available. There are tablets in each table for your needed online research. I'm glad that there are outlets at each table. The staff are nice too. For first-timers in the library, a library card is needed for hassle-free entrance on your next visit. Hopefully, they will open more study areas in the future."

Matt Yepes

"I was excited but ended up feeling disappointed with the National Library. When I was in college I used to go here and I was able to browse through the book shelves freely and find the books that I need. Now everything must pass through the librarian, but first you have to find the book in their database. The thing is, there were too many people waiting to use the computers so you will end up wasting a lot of time. Also, the WiFi doesn't work.

I don't know what happened here. It's so sad."

Marjorie Gavan

"Nice place to study and do homeworks. Free parking, free wifi (4 hours), huge space, no gossiping.

You don't need to spend 300 pesos in coffee shops.

Bad thing is the library is closed every weekend which I needed the most."
