What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the incredible, expansive views of the ocean and city from Morro Solar, often calling it a highlight of their Lima experience. The Cristo del Pacífico statue and the historical significance add to its appeal, though some caution is advised regarding safety on less-trafficked trails.
"One of the coolest things I've done in Lima. Totally exceeded my expectations. Took a 15-minute bus ride from Miraflores to the Malecón de Chorillos (walkway above the beach in Chorillos) which is itself very pretty and worth seeing with its view of the beach, boats, and so forth From there it's around a ten minute walk to get to Morro Solar and a 10-minute walk up the hill. (You could also just take an Uber there.) The hill looks so cool even as you're climbing up it (on a paved walkway), and when you make it up there the views are incredible -- in multiple directions! And there are all these different areas up there and things to see The giant cross, large war monument, huge Jesus statue, and amazing views in several directions of the ocean, the beach, the city of Chorillos...I just loved it. Highly recommended!"

"Awsome view from the only high point in town. Great for running. Beware the municipality does a very poor job at policing and its a common area for theft when you are on dirt trails."

"The view from here is really really beautiful and the surroundings looks okay but the view it's worth it"
