What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Wadi Tiwi is praised for its stunning canyon oasis accessible by 4x4, offering refreshing pools and a waterfall perfect for cooling off. Visitors appreciate the ability to explore independently, though caution is advised on slippery rocks. While some locals offer guiding services, many find it manageable on their own.
"We chose this one because we were with our two children—4 and 6–and couldn’t do something more strenuous like Wadi Shab. We drove all the way in to Tiwi Up, through an incredible canyon oasis (4-wheel drive is essential!), until the stairs down to the pools and waterfall. It was just the right amount of adventure for the kids, and the perfect way to cool off in the scorching heat. I’d recommend Mubarak Juma Mubarak Al Araimi for lunch before or after—quick and good."

"Amazing Wadi. You do not need to pay for a guide it is so easy to do on your own. The locals will pester for you for a bit saying that you will get lost but you won't.
Park at the wadi tiwi parking place on Google maps (ignore the men on the Ute shouting at you to go right before you reach the destination on Google maps).
After you park, keep walking further down the road till you get to the end. There is a blue gate and a brown tourist sign. On the left is a set of stairs that take you straight down to the wadi. To swim all along you do need to climb up and down rocks, beware it can get very slippery but take your time. It is amazing and definitely not worth missing.
Photos below are guides to the top of the stairs."
