"This was quite a rutted and rough road to get there, so I just went slowly. Good parking and a nice 45 min peaceful loop track. Take a wee torch or phone. It's nice to read the stories and hard to imagine a hustling community of men working so hard for their gold!!"
Andrea Wheatley
"It’s a long drive in on a mostly rough gravel road. At a minimum you will need an SUV as there are some deep ruts near the end. Our Toyota Highlander made it with no issues. We showed up at 4:00pm on a weekday and nobody else was there. A bit creepy as the area is quite isolated. Easy 45 minute loop track walk. Cool suspension bridge. The old mine tunnels were a bit dangerous for our tastes."
