What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Playa Algodones is praised for its beautiful white sand and calm, clear waters, making it a great spot for relaxation and swimming. Visitors appreciate the availability of vendors offering rentals and services, as well as the stunning sunset views. However, the lack of public restrooms and showers, along with the rocky entry into the water, are common drawbacks.
"Loved this beach!
You can rent a shade structure with a table and 4 chairs included for $300 pesos. They have lots of vendors if you want to get fresh fruit, your hairs braided, mariscos, jet ski and banana boat rentals, jewelry, etc.
The water is calm with small waves but the sand as you enter the water has a lot of shells and rocks, I would definitely recommend water shoes. Also, there are no public restrooms, you have to go to a nearby restaurant if you need to go and no showers to rinse off. Again, we had to use the nearby hotel amenities which we had to pay to use."

"One of the best beaches super clean and warm water perfect weather but no stores near by so bring your drinks or snacks before getting there."
Rosa Jauregui
"White sand beach about a kilometer long, in a cove of crystal clear water. Some hotels dot the beach but mostly long empty stretches. Kite surfing, or funky cantinas to stop and refresh with a cool one. Never crowded.
Hotels are available and more beaches are just around the corner. Huge sand dunes to play on or quite spots to sit and watch the waves roll in.
Some days are a bit windy. Some days are perfect. But no bad days here."
