Visitors in Puerto Rico rave about the crystal-clear waters of Cayo Icacos. However, some reviews mention concerns about water contamination in Acapulco and persistent vendors.
"Nice beach, calm ocean, nice swimming. Umbrellas and chairs available for a price or as perk if you order food and drink.... depending on the location. Beautiful views of Acapulco. Some of the vendors walking around were a bit aggressive, but didn't diminish our wonderful experience."
Bernhard Wentzek
"Beautiful area. Stunning sunsets."
Peter Kardas
"I always went there because it was simply beautiful along with sunsets. The water is gorgeous. The high rise hotels give it that international appeal with the mountain backdrop.
Many of the world's best resorts can be found there.
Unfortunately and sadly in the last 15 or so years crime, drugs, etc. has taken its toll on city and it's lost some of its glamour. Acapulco is a stunning place and deserves a second chance"
