Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Gozo Nature Museum to be an interesting stop, particularly for its insect collections and the charm of its historic building. While some feel individual entry is pricey, the museum offers good value as part of the Cittadella Combo Ticket, which is highly recommended. The exhibits are informative, and the staff are noted for their kindness.
"Bought the Cittadella Combo Ticket. €13 adults/ €9 seniors and students with proof of student ID / €7 children under 11. This price bought entrance to the Cittadella Visitor’s Center, Gozo Museum of Archaeology, The Old Prison, Gozo Nature Museum and the Gran Castello Historic House. All of these places were visited and the grounds were walked within a period of two and a half hours without any stops for bathroom, coffee or food. There are plenty of bathrooms and areas to eat, drink or snack.
The Natural Science Museum was my favorite of each of the five points of interest in this pass. The docent is extremely kind and helpful, taking time out of her day to explain some of the local geopolitics of the museum and their goals of educating the area’s children on their local history and cultural heritage.
It took about 40 minutes to get through these exhibits and that was without the stops for the kids to do artwork upstairs. The exhibits are informative, well lit, and displayed effectively."

"The museum has a rather random array of items that have little explanation. There are a few videos upstairs, but mostly it's a few boxes of insects and other creatures which are named, but not explained. I still have no idea if the tiny human-looking skeleton is human or not (please tell me). It took around 15 mins to traverse. It was free as part of the combined ticket (see below), but I think it's not worth the time unless you really like natural history.
Entry to the museum is €5 on its own (not good value) or €13 as part of a combined ticket that includes 5 Citadella museums (Cittadella visitor centre), museum of archaeology, old prison, Gran Castillo historic house, and nature museum) as well as the Ggantija Archeological park (€10 on its own, making the combined ticket worthwhile) and Ta Kola windmill.
There is a toilet and small garden upstairs."
