What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Langkawi Cable Car and SkyBridge for their absolutely breathtaking and spectacular views of the island, sea, and mountains. The cable car ride is described as smooth, thrilling, and unforgettable, with many calling it a must-visit attraction. However, some reviews mention concerns about maintenance in certain areas and suggest that the management could improve upkeep.
"An absolutely breathtaking experience! The Langkawi SkyBridge and Cable Car deserve more than 5 stars – the views are simply spectacular, with panoramic sights of the island, sea, and lush mountains. The ride itself is smooth, thrilling, and unforgettable. The facilities are well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful. This is truly a must-visit attraction in Langkawi, worth every moment. If I could give 7 stars, I would!"

"This cable car is gliding above the oldest part of Southeast Asia, once part of an ancient sea. It takes you over jungles and some of the oldest rocks (over 550 million years old).
It start at the Base Station at Machincang Mountain’s foothill. Glide past rare flora & fauna.
Then it reach the Middle Station. At the Middle Station offers a stop with breathtaking 360° views and access to the Lankawi Eagle Nest Sky walk.Middle Station is at 650m above sea level.
Finally, a short climb brings you to the Top Station. It is at 708m above sea level. When you reach the Top Station you can visit the sky bridge. But required a short but slightly challenging 10-minute jungle walk. It is very fun, but a bit tough for young children or elderly visitors. If you are elder or with children you can choose SkyGlide. It is a faster, smoother, and more comfortable ride straight to the bridge.
In peak season there are long queues. So you can either go early or buy express tickets."

"No need to buy tickets in advance, you can easily get them on the spot. The cable car ride itself is definitely worth it, the views are stunning and the whole experience is really enjoyable.
But if you’re bringing kids, just be extra careful. I noticed quite a few areas that looked unsafe: some wooden parts already worn out, rusty metals, and even gaps in certain corners that could be risky. It doesn’t ruin the trip, but I do think the management should really invest in proper maintenance and regular revitalization. With such a popular attraction, it deserves to be kept in top condition."
