What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Zoo Negara Kuala Lumpur offers a diverse range of animals, with the giant pandas being a major highlight. While many visitors enjoy the experience, some reviews mention that animal enclosures could be better maintained and animals appear less active. The birthday entry offer is a popular perk, but the additional cost for the tram can add up.
"Its old zoo but nice and lots of animals in real that look for. Unlucky panda 🐼 😢 is no more as its get back to China already. Others as another zoo in the big city. Its far way from center around 40 minutes driving 🚗 and foreigners tickets entrance is 93 Rinngit. Its nice to enjoy a day if u have kids its would be worthy as let your kids see real animal life *"

"Splendid experience. Honestly, the 89 RM entry fee seems a little steep but it's worth it once you enter. The animal show was a bliss whilst the display of various species, coupled with how well they're kept, is amazing.
I recommend buying tickets online as you can save quite a bit. Do it at least one day in advanced.
Also, best to allocate your entire day here as the place is huge and you'd want to spend some time in each section."

"Okay so the zoo was incredible, a must have experience if you come to Malaysia! The cages and facilities are incredibly well-kept the zoo is very clean and seeing the kids being so happy and roaming and the animals judging us from far was so much fun !
The only bummer is that we totally overlooked booking online and physical tickets were so much more expensive... the pandas weren't there either... other than that it was fabulous !"
