What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Yufuin Station area is praised for its charming, fairy-tale atmosphere, particularly the Yufuin Floral Village and the scenic Yufuin No Mori train. Visitors appreciate the unique shops and the efforts of station staff to maintain order amidst growing popularity. However, some find the town can feel overcrowded and its theme a bit confused, leading to potential disappointment if expectations aren't aligned.
"A smaller station with three track lines services the Yufuin area. The building is on the older side with a wooden facade and many interesting trains pass through here. It’s clearly noticeable that Yufuin has recently become more popular with tourists and that the train station wasn’t initially accommodated for this many people. The staff is doing their best to maintain order by forming lines according to trains. Toilets on the outside can easily become crowded but the queue moves quickly thanks to the many stalls. It’s clearly overcrowded but that’s not the stations fault."

"A really small station. But the employees take a huge effort to make sure it is very well organized and manageable. The gift shop inside was good and also the station stamp was very easy to find."
Vignesh Selvasundar
"The station and the city was nice, however I cannot feel any comfort here, it is way too crowded, most of them are Korean tourists,
. I also cannot exactly tell what is main theme of the city, I meant everything looks confused, there are Japanese style and there also are western-like style.
Well, if you are those who like to take picture with theme park-like architectures, this might be a place for you, but if not, don’t visit here, you might end up feeling disappointed and wasted time just like me.
By the way, I have it 3 stars to the very hard working people who work here, it’s not an easy job, I know."
