"I went here twice during my stay in Tsuruoka. It is a nice place to visit. One day I came to the Samurai Silk museum and store. It was very informative and a fun place to visit. I also visited a pottery studio where you can make your own pottery in a class. I did not take the class, just visited and purchased a small pot. I returned another day for a local craft fair, which was a great experience. It was very busy and had many artisans selling their crafts, which were of high quality and many different things to choose from. There were also food trucks and vendors selling prepared foods, produce, and other local specialties. There are 2 restaurants on site, and a winery as well. It's located in the middle of many produce fields and persimmon orchards, a beautiful drive."
