"Great Arts"
KK Pau
"Take the Tokushima Bus from Tokushima Station directly to Bunka no Mori. It's infrequent, but it's very convenient. Within Bunka no Mori, you'll find the Tokushima Museum of Modern Art and the Tokushima Prefectural Museum. This time, I visited with a 500-yen ticket for the Kansai Expo Tokushima. The admission fee to the Museum of Modern Art is incredibly cheap at 200 yen, and even free for those 65 and older. I'm grateful for that. The Museum of Modern Art is hosting an ukiyo-e exhibition featuring Tokushima's indigo, including works by Utagawa Hiroshige. It was absolutely stunning, with ukiyo-e depictions of the Naruto spirals and other scenes. I was truly moved by the many ukiyo-e prints that used Tokushima's indigo as paint. There was also an exhibition of works by modern artists from Tokushima, which I really enjoyed. It's amazing that such a facility exists in Tokushima. I'll be stopping by the Prefectural Museum soon."
