"20250322 I was so careless in my planning that I mistook the restaurant in the traditional house outside the entrance as the meseum! The actural meseum is actually a very big area so we had to skip this time. Will definitely come back with a couple hours to walk around as it looked very interesting."

Ric W

"Superb! Worth double the ticket price. Tells stories about the ingenuity and creative spirit of Shikoku people through buildings and other material things. We spent 6 hours here not counting a lunch break for delicious udon. I loved the (outstanding) English translations of the interpretive videos and signs. I found the stories really moving (especially the Yoshino sisters ❤️ revisiting their childhood home and reminiscing after 55 years). I loved taking a break by the irori hearth with the elderly man who was keeping the fire going. I loved the extravagance of the ikebana floral arrangements large and small everywhere.
I recommend this museum to anyone who has a heart. Take it slowly and enjoy the soul of Shikoku"
