"Botan flowers in Sukagawa is full bloomed. But I think this will still last ‘till next week. So can still come & enjoy it’s beauty & fragrance 😊😊😊"

Ceniza Efren Rock

"This is a famous garden in Sukagawa City. Apparently the Emperor and Empress once visited, and a monument has been erected there.

I discovered this famous scenic spot when I first visited Sukagawa City during a long, long trip to Tohoku. It's amazing how, when you convert Sukagawa City into kanji, the predictive text feature automatically picks up the name of this garden.

I visited at the end of October. The peony season was already over, but the beautiful garden and forest were still enjoyable, and just walking around was refreshing. There were even ducks lazily lounging in the pond.

The peonies had already fallen, but I still managed to find a single flower. Winter is coming, but I hope it stays in bloom until then.

There's also a shop. It was a great way to enjoy nature to the fullest, right in the heart of Sukagawa City!"
