"This gift shop in Tsubame, Niigata is inside the station. Despite being very low key there are local products being sold such as food, snacks, sake, beer, cutlery, utensils, and cups. Many of the items appears hand crafts and of quality. I wish I had a few more yen to get more, but I did get the sake and beer. Some items can be a bit pricy but probably worth it. If looking to support local businesses, these types of shops often a have gems that show the best of Japan."

They are probably the best quality in the world! I bought a nail clipper that was beyond any I have ever seen! It was interesting to see all of the items that are made in the area!"
