"Sadly when I visited, Yahiko shrine area had experienced an unusually warm summer which caused the autumn leaves to come really late. As such all I could see was green. However I still did get some stunning photos with transitional foliage and whatever red leaves there were. If I had another chance in the future I would definitely try and visit again at the peak of the autumn foliage as I believe it would look absolutely wonderful. Oh there was a night light up which I missed too due to visiting in the morning. Do plan accordingly if you wish to see the night light up."
