What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Dogashima Sea Caves boat tour to be a beautiful and unique experience, offering stunning coastal views and a glimpse into impressive natural formations. While the lack of English commentary and dependence on tides can be drawbacks, the visual spectacle and affordability make it a worthwhile stop on the Izu Peninsula.
"We did the 25 min boat rive to the cave - coast was beautiful. You only go inside one cave but it was still cool. We did not have to wait - we bought our tickets and were able to immediately board the boat. I think they run every 30 minutes. Cool way to see the coastline. I don't think they had explanations of the tour in English - it was hard to hear what they were saying over the speaker system."

"I visited this place on a public holiday. Unfortunately it was high tide on that day and as a result we were not able to take a boat ride. Otherwise there are multiple boat ride routes that you can choose from. If the boat rides are not operational, you can trek on the top of the cave to the mountain top for a good view."

"I go the trip on weekend and no advance buy the ticket. We wait the boat not over 10 mins. We spent time around 15-20 mins. All is good."
