Visitors rave about Echigo Hillside Park as a fantastic, spacious destination, especially for families. The seasonal flower displays, extensive playgrounds, and summer water park are major highlights. While adult entry fees apply, the free admission for children under 15 makes it a great value. Some visitors note that certain playground areas may be under renovation.
"For English Speakers.
A great nature park with plenty of space for kids to run around. A must do with kids and if coming in summer bring swim suits for the kids!
The splash pad here is big and a lot of fun for the kids. The kids will have fun here and at the big playground here. They are renovating the playground little by a little so the older one may be closed off, but majority of the playground is open and it's fun for the kids.
The flower park area is nice too to see different flowers at various seasons.
There is a price for adults to enter the park. Kids under 15 year old were free to enter.
All in all, this is a great date spot or if you have kids a great spot to let them run around."

"It's a very nice and spacious park. June is when they have roses; the flowers they have change...I think last April-May it was tulips~~"

"We went there last weekend ; it’s snow covered and offers a divine view! そり遊び or sledding is also possible along with Ski. You can rent sledding boards ( or you can get your own). I have added a map too to show the courses the park offers. Ski for kids and for adults ; sledding for kids and adults are definitely possible! It’s a very clean park with an indoor kids space and a small restaurant. 😊Enjoy!!"
