"Beginning of the trail is steep and sketchy but gets better and better as you get to the top. Bring a headlight in case you run out of time because it’s fun to explore at the top. —— oh…. And we got a late start and were asking people who were coming down first if they saw deer- all of them did but later on all of them didn’t. Which lead me to believe only the people who started at dawn could see many deer. Too bad I’ll wake up earlier next time"

"A fine view from the summit and not nearly as crowded as Mt Tsurugi (on a Saturday, only 6 others there at mid-day). There's a small lake a couple hundred meters below the top that is picture perfect, with a fairly nice/large mountain hut that you can stay in just beside the lake (its unstaffed but free of charge, and no equipment so bring everything). If hiking towards Tenguzuka-san the path is great, but if going towards Shiraga it is very very steep going down off Miune (or very very steep up to Miune if coming from Shiraga). Avoid this route in bad weather."
