"Beautiful shine a bit uphill and off the way from the town center. However, it was on route from my accommodation to the town center. It has the most beautiful cleansing booth i have seen in a long while. Very colorful and flower filled"

"Small shrine tucked up above the Kusatsu town area via a long flight of stairs. The grounds are very pretty and were empty when we visited. It was peaceful. The shrine office seemed very small and was closed.
The best part of this shrine were the rhododendron subg. hymenanthes flowers in full bloom (early May 2023).
Goshuin are available until 4pm at a nearby restaurant if the shrine office is closed. There are four shrines in the area with goshuin, all are paper only. If you purchase all four, you get a discount. I didn't care for the designs much personally, they seemed cheap and touristy."

"Very unique Shinto shrine in the heart of kusatsu onsens. A pleasant must visit site. Enjoy the scenic beauty and pleasant weather. You can get a good view of the onsens without the smell. So a must visit for at least that reason. The temple is really old and well preserved. A must visit"
