"I was solo in Kure checking out the local museums. For speed, I took a taxi down from Hiroshima and I realized that the timing was right to take the ferry back to Hiroshima and not only that I might get a sunset cruise out of the deal. I had to wait a little bit for that, but the staff were very helpful. Difficult to decipher for those who don't use this route on a regular basis, but the staff were kind and very helpful and accommodating. Much appreciated.

In short, you must be there on time. The ferry will board and depart within probably less than 3 minutes. You have a brief window just prior to departure where you can purchase your tickets, and then you wait for a time."
