"Habiro Agriculture Park – Miharashi Farm @ Nagano 🇯🇵 A Well‑Managed, Family‑Friendly Countryside Escape 🍓🐐🍽️🛍️
We visited in April Saturday and explored several highlights of Miharashi Farm, including:
• 🍓 Strawberry Garden – Buffet-style picking with sweet, juicy varieties
• 🐴 Fureai Hiroba – Feed horses, goats, rabbits & ostrich (¥100 carrot cup via donation box)
• 🍕 Farm Restaurant Tomatonoki – Fresh pasta & pizza buffet with countryside views
• 🍰Toretate Market – Sakura noodles, cakes, strawberries & local goodies
There’s still plenty to discover—like the farm café, onsen, and hands-on craft or food-making sessions (we didn’t explore these). Definitely check out their website for full details if you’re planning to visit.
The whole area is well-managed, with clear signs, friendly staff, and clean, spacious facilities. Free parking is available, and everything is within walking distance inside the farm complex.
We easily spent 2–3 hours here enjoying food, nature, and family activities. An ideal stop for those wanting to experience Nagano’s rural charm."

"Onsite soba making class + onsen are awesome !! They are the highlights of my last 4 week trip in Japan!
If you are very interested in authentic Japanese cooking and eager to learn solid techniques of making soba noodles, this is the class for you!! Recommend to book 3+ days in advance (if you don’t speak Japanese), be punctual (ideally 5-10 mins before class start time), pay in advance if requested, and pay extra (1,000 yen) to add a tempura set to your soba noodles. The instructor is very patient and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t imagine soba noodles can be this complicated before the class!!
The fresh soba noodles tastes really good and you will throw away the dry ones from the pantry !! The entire class lasts about 2 hours and I had so much fun there!
After the class, I walked uphill for onsen. Every staff was very kind to me and admission fee is very reasonable. The onsen is huge and had different section including an outdoor onsen with nice mountain view It was so relaxing after a long drive from Nagano City to the farm.
This farm also offers various classes and fruit picking activities. I regret I didn’t stay overnight there or I would take more class there."
