What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Ojiragawa Gorge is widely praised for its stunning natural beauty, particularly its crystal-clear emerald waters and serene waterfalls. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity for hiking and photography. However, some recent reviews mention concerns about visitor behavior, including littering and noise, which detracts from the otherwise tranquil experience.
"Beautiful spot to enjoy nature. There is also a shrine on the walk from the parking lot. I walked across the bridge then took a path down to the water and walked to the gorge from there over the rocks along the shore. There is also another path that goes through the forest."

"One of my absolutely favourite places which I visited every year. After the bridge the path to the left leads to Kaikomagatake - to the right to the waterfalls. So far I only made it to 3rd. The path is a bit steep and can be slippery after the rain. Why not stay at the 1st one instead and enjoy the river?
Sadly, I have to mention how shocking japanese visitor's behavior is. They are very loud, scream and shout, disrespectful of your personal space, squeeze past you, get just in front obscuring view, step over your things. Many people leave beer cans and plastic bags behind. This behaviour has to stop if japanese wants to continue advertising themselves as polite and well mannered people."

"Great location, very peaceful small walk to the falls, or you can hike the trails and come back later after your hot and tired."
