Heidi Village is a charming, nostalgic destination for fans of the beloved story, offering beautiful gardens and a peaceful alpine atmosphere. While it lacks rides, visitors appreciate the detailed replica of Heidi's house, scenic views, and unique post office. Some find the food average and animal enclosures could be improved, but overall it's considered a worthwhile and pleasant experience, especially for families and those seeking a tranquil escape.
"Quaint little theme park. Not much to do and no actual rides, but there are some cute exhibits, a shop and bakery, a restaurant (food is just so so), a flower field and a tower to enjoy the views."

"Heidi's Village in Nagano, Japan is based on the children's novel Heidi by Johanna Spyri. The park is located in a beautiful mountain setting, and it features a variety of attractions, including a replica of Heidi's house, a playground, and a petting zoo.
I recently visited Heidi's Village with my family, and we had a wonderful time. The park is well-maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. We enjoyed exploring the replica of Heidi's house, playing on the playground, and feeding the animals in the petting zoo.
One of the things I liked most about Heidi's Village is that it is a great place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Japan. The park is surrounded by mountains and forests, and there are a number of places where you can sit and enjoy the scenery.
Overall, I highly recommend a visit to Heidi's Village if you are looking for a fun and educational experience for the whole family.

"This curious tourist spot is lovely under the right conditions. Too hot for us and the flowers during our visit, but perhaps spring or fall would've been more pleasant and colorful. The areas around the actual village are gorgeous and well maintained, but the grounds can get a bit unkempt further out. The goats and rabbits seemed a bit cramped in their pens and cages (a big negative mark in our minds). Not bad for the entrance fee of ~700 yen for adults, but timing is important. Obviously, if you are familiar with the Heidi anime of old, this is a spot to definitely visit, though merch was lighter than expected."
