"It’s a nice onsen and outdoor pool, with reasonable prices. From the outdoor pool you can see the fireworks on weekends which was aesthetic ayeee
The onsen is pretty average, they do have a sauna though which is nice. The pool however is questionably slimy??? Probably from all the sunscreen tourists slab on but it was pretty gross. I don’t recommend you put your face in the outdoor pool lol
I didn’t try the food or any other activities.
Service was okay, but there’s a lot of people coming in and out so they can’t possibly tend to eveyone.
Overall I give it a 6/10"

Navigating the Facilities and Etiquette
When visiting, remember the standard onsen etiquette. Upon entry, you'll remove your shoes and lock them away, receiving a key. This key is also used for your locker in the changing room. While lockers are provided, bringing your own towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water bottle is highly recommended for comfort by the pool. Payment is typically in Yen or cash.
Tattoo Policy Considerations: A notable aspect of Terme Villa Chula-U is its tattoo policy. While tattoos may prevent access to the indoor, gender-separated onsen, visitors with tattoos can still enjoy the outdoor pool by purchasing tattoo covers for 500 yen. This policy, though common in some Japanese onsen, has been a point of contention for some visitors, who feel it's outdated.
Maximizing Your Visit: Tips and Tricks
For those looking to capture memories, the outdoor pool area, especially during weekend fireworks, offers an 'aesthetic' view. While the service is described as 'okay,' the staff are managing a high volume of visitors, so patience is key. The facility also includes a small restaurant, though not all visitors have tried it.
Consider what you'll need for a comfortable day. Bringing your own towels and water bottles is a practical tip, as is having Yen or cash on hand for any purchases. The availability of tattoo covers for the outdoor pool is a thoughtful provision for those who wish to use it despite the facility's tattoo policy.
