What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Rick's Cafe is celebrated for its breathtaking sunset views and the thrilling cliff diving spectacle, offering a vibrant atmosphere with music and dancing. While many find it a must-visit Jamaican icon, some reviewers note that the food can be overpriced and the service slow, with the experience leaning towards being quite touristy.
"Dare I say overpriced and overhyped? 🤔I wasn’t impressed to say the least and the “journey” to get here was turbulent. I’d recommend driving vs. the catamaran but it also depends on the vibe you want. Service here tho was lackluster and slow. The food was not worth the price albeit good. I think if you’re going for the music and party vibes and not so much the food and service, you’d have a great time. I was really looking forward to the food more than anything else so I was incredibly disappointed. It is a cultural asset of sorts so it’s worth a visit just know you may be disappointed. The views however are a different story. Very nicely situated with amazing views of the water.. that I really enjoyed."

"It was my first time at Rick's Cafe. The scenic view is breathtaking and relaxing. Watching the sunset is a beautiful sight to behold. They had music going and entertaining the crowd. People were dancing and having a good time.
However, this place is not for kids and / or Christians.
The food was ok, service wasn't too bad either. Because it is so crowded, it took a little while to be served. We just had to wait a while to be served. This place draws a huge crowd from 12 -10pm. They have plenty of seating area, along with multiple eating areas.
They have the famous cliff to jump off into the sea.
Unfortunately, I wasn't built for that one. No cliff jumping for me.
Of course, my husband loves that type of scene and would love to go back.
Overall, it's a little vibes within itself. Watching the sunset and drinking a nice cold beer is not bad at all."
