Our day started bright and early with a hotel pickup and the vibe was instant. After scooping up our soon to be adventure buddies from another resort, we were off to the main connection point where the real fun began.
First up? Horseback riding through lush mountainside terrain and the ocean. The views? Postcard worthy. The energy? Pure freedom.
Then came the ATV trail ride. Mud, hills, laughter and a few screams for fun later, we were fully in our adrenaline bag.
Lunch followed in a charming little town. Simple, delicious, and deeply satisfying. Then came the dare we didn’t see coming... cliff jumping!!! We did it!!! That leap was more than just thrill, it was pure liberation.
To wrap the day? A rum-fueled sail away party that felt like the perfect exhale. Music, ocean breeze, tropical drinks and the kind of dance moves you only pull out when the Caribbean sun (and random afternoon storm) hits just right.

My friends and I booked our excursion through Nexus Tours. My friends met Ally during our wait to check in at RIU Montego Bay. Ally was so helpful and gave us tips that definitely helped maximize our time on the scheduled day. She said make sure to book the catamaran and bamboo rafting first then do the other activities when we could.
We booked for Saturday of our visit at 7:15am. The bus was late however there were 2-3 buses that arrived to accommodate the guests. Our driver was Mr. Brown. He was very informative on our drive to the excursion. He gave insight into everyday life in Jamaica. Once we arrived we checked in and did exactly as Ally suggested. We booked the rafting @10, catamaran at 11am, and atv @ 2pm. We were able to do everything offered. I feel we lucked up at the end of day because we had no line with horseback riding and zip lining.
My friends and I had a great experience. The team at Chukka/Appleton Estate was amazing and so nice. I don’t recall the man the was with me and the horse. Thank you to him and Darrin for the photos and videos, especially not dropping my phone lol. Shoutout to Richardo, Delroy, Darrin, and Diablo!"
