Visitors find Castello di San Giusto to be a worthwhile stop in Trieste, primarily for its spectacular panoramic views of the city and sea. While the castle itself might not be the most elaborate, the historical exhibits, particularly the weapons museum, and the affordable entry price make it a solid value. "The castle itself is not very impressive but it's worth 5 stars anyways:
1. There are interesting exhibitions about the history of Trieste and the castle. There are free audio tours with different focus points. One is especially for children. I would advise to bring headphones. The audio tour is available in multiple languages.
2. You have a great view over the city.
You get a good deal for reasonable price (7€/adult)."

"One of the symbols of Trieste with a wonderful view of the city and the sea. Quite a large castle complex that is also a museum. Inside the castle there is also a small museum of weapons or a military museum with interesting exhibits of weapons from the Middle Ages to the New Century. Entrance is paid and costs a few euros. At the end, you have a cafe on the walls where you can rest with a beautiful scenery. Not one of the nicer and more comprehensive castles I've been to, but definitely worth a visit if you have time."
