"Long time ago used to be a roman fort here but was destroyed twice after fall of Rome in the early middle age. Now a fort with amazing view on Spoleto and a very good museum inside that takes you from roman times to renaissance. A must see.
If you happen to visit during weekend (we didnt) you can also climb on tower for even better view."

"Spoleto is a great city, they make the tourist sites so accessible by providing escalator and moving walkways. We parked at the lower city parking garage and took the escalator to the major sites, then to the base of the Rocca, enjoying not only the interesting courtyards and frescoes, but the Roman aqueduct and the impressive sweeping views of the valley and the town."
