What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Tervela Waterfall for its natural beauty and the scenic hike to reach it. The main drawback is the confusing navigation, with many users reporting issues with Google Maps directing them to inaccessible viewpoints. Proper footwear is also frequently mentioned as essential due to slippery trails.
"Nice waterfall, free to see, but DO NOT USE Google Maps to find it. Google Maps will take you to the top of the waterfall, where you can hear it but see nothing at all. Instead, park at Monte Pana Seilbahn/Seggiovia station. Walk uphill towards the "Apartments Tervela". Walk past these apartments for about 50m and you find it. There are some occasional signs, but in general it is poorly signposted. If you want to use Google Maps, you need to search for "Apartments Tervela" and not "Cascata Tervela". However there is no public parking at the apartments, this is why you need to park at the bottom of the road near the cable car."
Adrian Rizzo
"The waterfall is beautiful, however Google maps will take you up a road to the top of the waterfall where there is nowhere to park or hike down. Instead, you can park down in the town across from the base of the waterfall and hike up the trail. The picture is from the parking location to help give reference where to start. Park across from the bridge and tunnel and there will be a walking trail across the road that goes down under the bridge"

"A short walk from the Monte Pana cable station (str. Pana) - wear proper boots,as it might be slippery (mid-March)"
