What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the unique adventure of exploring the ancient mines and the scenic mini-train ride, especially enjoyable for families. However, some note issues with organization and a lack of multilingual information in the museum exhibits.
"Wonderful adventure to enjoy, especially with littles. The train is better suited for smaller children, the mine tour was a bit tricky with the smaller children because of the adult sized helmets. Cave and mine tour was a bit chilly when we went so I suggest bringing a jacket. The paths were a tad mucky when I went as well so I suggest wearing shoes you don’t care about because they will get dirty. Overall, service was great! I personally loved the little gift shop the most. I appreciated the English audio for the mine tour."

"A good way to pass half a day if you are staying in the area.
We took the guided visit of the mines and the trip with the train. Both were very well explained and definitely interesting. Beware that the guides are explain only in Italian but I saw audio guides available for other languages.
If you are a student ask for the 20% off discount. Bring a jacket for the mines since it is quite cold inside. Try to visit this on a not-so-hot day since there is some walking to be done."

"Very scenic and a bit thrilling ride with the small train through the mines and back. Also, the Rocco San Silvestro was a nice short hike from the second trainstation!"
