"Very beautiful, recommend the visit."
Uros Groselj
"The Basilica of Santa Maria Assunta in old Muggia is the only currently usable structure. The rest of the ancient village is merely a collection of traces, scattered in various locations, unearthed after recovery excavations. The village was abandoned around the mid-1400s, favoring its current seaside location. The renovated basilica is divided into three naves. Inside, between the arches and on its walls, there are paintings from the first half of the 13th century, as per information boards scattered around the surrounding area."
Piero Catucci
"After many years I returned by chance and found it significantly changed, undoubtedly improved in the care of the greenery with inserts for tourist use such as signage, benches, minimal furniture but which gives a certain tone of peace and spirituality... seen the small famous and ancient church with its small cemetery attached... and the priest's house on the other side of the church, also very beautiful and well-kept... With a small wooded garden in front... Worth seeing!"
