What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Marciana Marina is praised for its well-protected harbor and the charm of its adjacent village, offering clean facilities and a pleasant atmosphere. However, some visitors find the berthing prices to be quite high compared to other locations on Elba.
"Very spacious harbour. Good protection from wind and waves. The facilities were clean and very fair prices. 30€ for a night (34ft boat)"

"Beautiful little harbor well protected from northerlies by the mountains behind.
Very nice village all within walking distance ."
Jo Peleus
"Great harbour, clean facilities and cozy town. Don’t forget to reserve your restaurants when you are here. Also, if you sail a bit further west, there are great bays to drop anchor. Bit of A rocky ground, but amazing sceneries. Also, from here you can easily visit Pacco, or Marciano. Both stunning little towns. Also, you can walk (25km hard hike) or take a cable cart up to the mountain. From there, you can see the whole island of Elba. Would recommend!!"

The Historic Saracen Tower
Many visitors recommend making the ascent to the tower, especially during the 'golden hours' of sunrise or sunset, when the light casts a magical glow over the landscape. The tower is a tangible link to the past, reminding visitors of the region's rich and sometimes turbulent history. Its presence adds a layer of historical depth to the otherwise serene maritime setting.
Exploring Marciana Marina Village
This cozy village is where you can truly immerse yourself in the local culture. Discover small piazzas, enjoy a gelato, or simply sit at a cafe and watch the world go by. It’s also the hub for dining, with numerous restaurants offering fresh seafood and regional specialties. Reservations are often recommended, especially during peak season, to secure a table at your preferred spot. The proximity of the village to the harbor makes it incredibly convenient for visitors arriving by boat or staying nearby.
Marina Facilities and Boating
While the harbor offers a secure and pleasant environment, it's worth noting that pricing can be a point of contention for some. Some visitors have found the docking fees to be on the higher side compared to other ports on Elba, such as Portoferraio. Therefore, it's advisable for boaters to research current rates and compare them with other options if budget is a primary concern. Despite potential cost considerations, the quality of protection and facilities makes it a popular choice for many sailors.
