What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Reviews for Lido San Giovanni are mixed. While some praise its clean sand, clear water, and family-friendly atmosphere, others report negative experiences with high costs, poor service, and language barriers. Some visitors recommend the free beaches nearby as a better alternative.
"Like some other reviews said, we paid for chairs and were denied service by multiple people who spoke no English or at least pretended to in order to get more money. Wouldn’t recommend to my worst enemy. Wasted so much time here and ended up having an amazing time at the free beach next door. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here. If I could give less than 1 star I would."
Anthony S
"The beach was okay, there was a lot of shells which can't be find easily anywhere in the area, however the buildings in the surroundings were old and unkept. The prices were fair, however it was the first beach where we had to pay for the entrance (4€), and 7€ for each sun bed. A big plus was that there was a shower for free, which is not common in any other beaches around Gallipoli. A big plus is that there is a restaurant on the beach."
Silvia Presinszky
"Probably the worst beach in whole Italy. We payed 30 eur for entering and could not swim, because they asked another 35eur dor umbrella. Go around this place."
