"The experience is worthy! It's amazing how the museum guardianship team manage to keep such an amazing place in a small town, with so few visitors per year. It's rich of displayed info, regarding the Italian alpine and prealpine traditions: old ski and mountain work tools and garments, photos of the the folks, history of those who have left the country in the late 1800's and early 1900's, traditional songs recordered long time ago. There's an entire room dedicated to the local storytellers. I hope more people get to access the museum. The Heart of Alpine Culture
The museum also dedicates significant space to the history of emigration, a crucial aspect of the region's narrative. Through photographs and recorded accounts, it sheds light on the difficult decisions faced by many who left their homeland in search of better opportunities during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This section provides a deeply moving and often somber reflection on the human cost of economic hardship.
Further enriching the visitor experience is a special room dedicated to local storytellers and traditional songs. The attention to detail in displaying the collections, combined with the friendly and helpful staff, creates an intimate and educational atmosphere.
