We went to Castello di Mola at the top of the mountain in Taromina. This castle was used for the lookout around the 10 century.

"At the top of the village are the ruins of a castle.

From the castle ruins you get a perfect and beautiful view all the way to Mount Etna and to the coast. Great panorama.

You can get a bus from Taormina to the pretty village of Castelmola, but you will have to walk up the steps to get to the castle. There's an elevator but it didn't look to be working.

The village is full of bars, shops and restaurants.
