The 10-15 minute cable car ride is a highlight, offering breathtaking vistas of Trapani and the coast. "It was easy to purchase round trip tickets at the counter. Round trip tickets were cheaper than individual if you’re coming back down. There was some wind. I did not want to purchase prior through the internet just in case it becomes closed due to the wind. But, we made it on and eventually back down several hours later. Great views and easy way up and down."

"It’s a cheap and scenic way to up to Erice. The cable cars work just fine but they’re a bit old so taking photos is a bit trickier. The ride takes 10-15 minutes and I would recommend going when you have a clear sky otherwise you can’t enjoy the views as much. You can buy tickets in advance but I purchased them at the entrance and that was just as fine."

"I decided to take the cable car rather than drive. It takes about 14 minutes each way but Erice was stunning. I think it’s a must see, especially the castle area."
