Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Chiesa Madre a beautiful and historically significant site, praising its stunning architecture, particularly the ceiling, and the value offered by combined tickets. Some note the 19th-century interior refurbishment, while others appreciate the Norman-Gothic blend. The bell tower provides excellent views, though an extra fee may apply.

"I think old churches like this are always worth a visit! They’ve been around for centuries and the architecture is always stunning. The ceiling here is very cool and the church has a small museum inside with old artefacts. It also has a separate bell tower you can visit for an extra fee but we didn’t do that because of the heat. Entrance to the church is 2,50€ and in my opinion that’s a fair price."

Hannah Krause

"A fabulous surprise when you walk through the gothic entrance . Dates back to the Normans and before but the inside is a splendid 19th century refurbishment. Best get the 6 euro ticket that allows you into a series of interesting buildings, some with fabulous views. Lots of paid parking in Erice. Winding road is a fun challenge with numerous hairpins. Then on to the salt flats museum."

Mar Ko

"We bought the ticket for visiting all the churches in the city so it’s ok, because there is not so many other attractions but this one is very nice and beautiful inside"
