What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Museo Diocesano for their spectacular collections of sacred art and historical artifacts, often housed in beautiful, historic buildings. The free admission at some locations and the helpfulness of volunteers are frequently highlighted as major positives. While most reviews are overwhelmingly positive, a few mention that some areas might appear less maintained, though this is generally not seen as a significant detractor from the overall experience.
"Simply spectacular, starting from the location. A historic building practically overlooking Piazza Arringo, accessible from either Piazza Arringo or Via Porta Torricella. I had the pleasure of visiting it during the celebration of the patron saint, Sant'Emidio, and it was even more impressive. Inside, there are all kinds of artifacts, including paintings, statues, and religious objects, some by renowned artists. It's well-maintained and free. For those visiting Ascoli Piceno's city center and the Cathedral of Sant'Emidio, I highly recommend a visit to the museum."
