"We were a group of 50 and went directly into the church, no waiting. There was some scaffolding over the main alter, restoration work I guess, in November 2022. However the lower area with the actual birthplace of John the Baptist, was accessible. A holy place to visit, which only takes a few minutes!"

It is out of the hustle and bustle of the city in a quaint little village that makes this a very nice place to visit.
