What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Jerusalem Botanical Gardens for its diverse plant collections, tranquil atmosphere, and beautiful bonsai. It's a peaceful escape offering a global botanical tour. Some note that summer can be quite hot with less shade in certain areas, and spring is ideal for peak blooms.
"Amazing range of trees flowers and other plants, beautiful gardens. The garden hosts a large selection of trees and plants from different areas of the world.
While the place is nice I guess you should not come during the summer when not many flowers are to be seen and the garden is too hot to really enjoy. All different kind of trees and flowers. Probably the only place in jerusalem to be found with nature from all around the world. It is very pleasant and refreshing to walk there. I suggest coming in fair weather, it's a bit too hot in summer. Really special place in the middle of the city. Keep in mind that winter/spring are more suitable time to visit, mainly because of the blossom and of course the temperatures.
Do not miss on the tropical-desert closed display, it's amazing.Night and day photo click."

"DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY : We were so excited to see this "Botanical garden" as photos uploaded looked amazing (very deceptive to do this) , but upon our visit we saw a very neglected, littered and under nurtured dry place, full of weeds and trees, and we could rarely find any flowers. There seems to be no maintenance to this place whatsoever, the small stone monuments are neglected, which I find very djsresptful. The garden is full of labels but no flowers there. Over priced too - 40 NI per person. The only good things perhaps were the water fountains, which had water and were cold, and the shade, which honestly can be found everywhere in Jerusalem. Really disappointed."

"Nice place to visit in a right time of year.
In our case, we visited on July at Friday morning.
Most of the garden were good, but there's few places that was closed or on reconstruction."
