What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Rudana Museum is praised for its beautiful collection of contemporary Indonesian art and its incredibly serene setting with lovely gardens and rice field views. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and the opportunity for a private viewing experience. However, some guests have found the museum's upkeep lacking in certain areas and have experienced discomfort due to overly attentive staff members following them around.
"Very quiet and serene location off the beaten track. 100,000 rupiah per person. We came on a wednesday morning and were the only visitors. Quite a lot to see of varying genres and quality. The museum attendant was following us around which could be off putting for some. However, we enjoyed the experience of seeing some Balinese art and enjoyed the setting in which we saw it. We spent around an hour here. Nice cultural experience while in Ubud."

"A very well-maintained museum, the art pieces are very well located and distributed, it is an excellent destination for those who want to see a little more Balinese art, it is a very peaceful museum that is worth visiting."

"Very nice museum with a lot of beautiful artwork, but probably because there are not many visitors it is very unkept, stuffy inside. The shields of old artwork is not readable as it’s old and the entrance level has just many artwork without any shields. i would still give the museum a 4 for the beautiful artwork if not for this one employee ( i think the one mentioned in other comments) who just followed me and waited until i leave - even tapped his fingers impatiently as i observed artworks. unacceptable… such a pity as i read in the guestbooks how much people loved this place since the 90s."
